Q: Is this a lodge safari or camping safari?

This is primarily a mobile camping safari. You spend the first night in a Victoria Falls hotel and the final night in a Maun hotel. The nights in between are spent in mobile safari tents.

Q: How many nights will we sleep in tents?

You will spend four nights in mobile safari camps in Botswana.

Q: What are the tents like?

The safari uses comfortable mobile safari tents designed for wilderness camping. The exact tent configuration and facilities depend on the mobile safari operator and campsite.

Q: Do we have to put up our own tent?

No. The safari team handles the setup and breakdown of the camp.

Q: Are meals prepared at the campsite?

Yes. Meals are prepared by the safari team during the mobile camping portion of the trip.

Q: Is there electricity at the camps?

Mobile camps are in remote wilderness areas, so electricity and charging facilities may be limited. We recommend bringing a power bank or suitable portable charging solution for cameras and phones.

Q: Are bathrooms available while camping?

Mobile safari camps generally provide camping sanitation facilities, but facilities are more basic than those found in hotels and permanent lodges. The exact bathroom and shower arrangements depend on the campsite and mobile safari operator.

Q: Is this a luxury safari?

No. This is an authentic mobile camping safari, designed for travellers who want a closer-to-nature Botswana experience rather than permanent lodge accommodation.

Q: Is the camping physically demanding?

The safari does involve early mornings, time in safari vehicles and basic wilderness camping. Guests should be comfortable with these conditions.

Q: Is the mokoro excursion guaranteed?

The mokoro excursion depends on seasonal water levels and local conditions. If water levels or conditions are unsuitable, the operator may substitute another safari activity.

Experience the highlights of Victoria Falls, Chobe National Park and the Okavango Delta on this 7-day adventure combining iconic attractions with an authentic mobile camping safari in Botswana.

Your journey begins in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, where you will be collected from the airport and transferred to your hotel. After settling in, enjoy a memorable Zambezi River Dinner Cruise.

The following day, explore Victoria Falls on a guided tour and experience a spectacular scenic helicopter flight over the Falls before travelling into Botswana.

From this point, the journey becomes a true wilderness adventure. Instead of staying in permanent lodges, you will travel with a mobile safari camp, moving through the wilderness and sleeping in comfortable safari tents at designated campsites. This allows you to experience Botswana’s wildlife and landscapes much closer to nature.

Explore Chobe National Park with game drives and a sunset boat cruise before continuing towards the Khwai/Moremi region of the Okavango Delta.

In Khwai, enjoy several game drives and a traditional mokoro excursion, with opportunities to encounter elephants, buffalo, lions, leopards, wild dogs, giraffes, hippos and a variety of birdlife.

Your final night is spent at a hotel in Maun, providing a comfortable transition before your departure from Maun Airport the following day.

Mobile Camping Experience

The mobile camping portion of the safari is designed to provide an authentic African wilderness experience. Guests sleep in comfortable safari tents at designated campsites rather than permanent lodges.

The safari team sets up camp, prepares meals and handles the camp logistics while guests concentrate on the safari experience.

This is not luxury lodge accommodation. It is an authentic mobile camping safari designed for travellers who want to experience Botswana’s wilderness more closely.

Day 01 :

Arrival in Victoria Falls & Zambezi River Dinner Cruise

Arrive at Victoria Falls International Airport, where you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel.

Check in and take some time to relax after your journey.

In the evening, enjoy a Zambezi River Dinner Cruise. Cruise along the Zambezi River while enjoying dinner and taking in the surrounding scenery.

Keep an eye out for wildlife along the riverbanks, including hippos, crocodiles and elephants, while enjoying the African sunset.

Return to your hotel after the cruise.

Day 02 :

Victoria Falls Tour, Helicopter Flight & Transfer to Botswana

After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour of Victoria Falls.

Explore the rainforest and viewpoints overlooking the Falls while your guide explains the history, geology and significance of this spectacular natural landmark.

Later, experience a scenic helicopter flight over Victoria Falls, providing spectacular aerial views of the Falls and the Zambezi River.

After the helicopter flight, depart Victoria Falls and travel to Kasane, Botswana.

After completing the border formalities, meet the mobile safari team and begin your Botswana wilderness adventure.

Travel into the Chobe area and arrive at your first campsite.

The safari team will set up camp while you settle into your safari tent and enjoy dinner around the campfire.

Day 03 :

Chobe National Park Game Drive & River Cruise

Wake early to begin your first full day of safari.

After breakfast, head out on a game drive in Chobe National Park.

Chobe is famous for its large elephant population and diverse wildlife. Your guide will explore different areas of the park in search of elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, antelope and predators.

Return to camp for lunch and some time to relax.

In the afternoon, enjoy a Chobe River sunset boat cruise.

From the water, you may see elephants coming down to drink, hippos in the channels, crocodiles along the banks and numerous bird species.

Return to the mobile camp after sunset for dinner around the campfire.

Day 04 :

Chobe to Khwai/Moremi

After an early breakfast, leave the Chobe region and continue towards Maun and the Khwai/Moremi area.

This is a longer travel and safari day as you move deeper into Botswana's wilderness.

Along the way, keep your eyes open for wildlife. In Botswana, even the journey between destinations can become part of the safari experience.

Arrive at your remote campsite in the Khwai/Moremi region, where the safari team will establish camp.

Enjoy dinner around the campfire before settling into your safari tent.

Day 05 :

Full-Day Khwai/Moremi Safari

Return to camp for lunch and some time to rest.

Day 06 :

Mokoro Excursion, Safari & Transfer to Maun

Start the morning with a mokoro excursion through the waterways of the Okavango Delta.

A mokoro is a traditional canoe used to navigate the shallow channels of the Delta. Moving quietly through the waterways provides a unique opportunity to appreciate the landscape, vegetation and birdlife.

The mokoro activity is subject to seasonal water levels and local operating conditions.

After the excursion, return to camp for lunch and prepare for your journey towards Maun.

Continue to Maun, where you will check into your hotel.

After several nights of mobile camping, enjoy the comfort of a hotel room and a relaxing evening in Maun.

Day 07 :

Maun Airport Departure

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel.

Depending on your flight time, you may have some free time in Maun before being transferred to Maun International Airport for your onward flight.
